Our work object creation in most of the cases would be,

1) using the Create/New option in the Worker or Manager portal

2) Creating cases through Listeners, Services, and Agents. We normally use svcAddWorkObject in these scenarios. Below is the sample Work object creation using svcAddWorkObject

3) Using smart shape in a flow rule to create a new work object.

Creating a work object through an activity rule is very rare and below is the list of steps that we should follow when writing a custom activity to create a work object.

Apart from services or agents, Can svcAddWorkObject be used if the work objects/cases need to be created from the excel sheet? Can we transfer these newly created cases to subflow of existing application flow for further processing of the case?

Yes, We can do.

I switched to using svcAddWorkObject instead of pzCreateTopCase after coming across this post but it does not seem to be comitting the WorkPage for me so no case is being created. There is call to commitWithErrorHandling in the impl, but it is not creating the case.
I tried calling Obj-Save just for kicks on my work-page but I get error saying pxObjClass is not set. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Update - I had to set the pxObjClass separately. Not sure why?

However, I have another issue. How do I pass embedded page as step page when I call svcAddWorkObject? Right now I am doing a Page-Copy into separate clipboard page just so I can pass it, and it works, but seems wasteful.
